Birds of Kenya

As the November trip to Kenya was my first African wildlife Safari i was of course keen on seeing all the star mammals that shaped my vision of Wildlife since i am a kid, and sure i was not disappointed. But i was also astonished by the abundance and variety of bird life, even in a seemingly poor habitat like Savannah. Over the 10 days on the field we managed to see close to 250 species, without trying hard at all. And visiting in November meant that we got to see a number of fine migrants, such as Pallid harrier or Amur Falcon, on top of all the resident birds. Here are some pics :

    Oui, il y a de quoi faire avec une trentaine d’espèces de serins africains mais, en ce moment, j’ai la tête en Nouvelle-Guinée et en Australie avec une prochaine publication (printemps-été 2014) sur les oiseaux à berceaux faisant suite aux oiseaux de paradis. Très bonnes fêtes à toi, surtout riches en observations et en photographies.
